Buying here

Property on Palm Jumeirah is freehold to all nationalities. An off-plan purchase registers with the Dubai Land Department through Oqood.

The trunk, the fronds and the crescent

Nakheel laid the island out in three parts, and each one holds a different kind of home.

The trunk

The spine of the island. Apartments, hotels, restaurants, cafés, marinas, private beaches, malls and attractions line it, and the monorail runs along it.

The fronds

Seventeen of them. Roads lead off the spine to the gated residential communities along each one.

The crescent

The outer arc, reached by a tunnel at the tip of the spine. Beachfront resorts and residences line it, with the Gulf on one side and the island and the skyline on the other.

All three buildings we cover stand on the crescentORLA, Dorchester Collection at the apex, Passo on the West Crescent and Ocean House on the Northeastern Crescent. We put ORLA and Ocean House head to head.
